Update September 28, 2022: Production has been delayed as Bassam Tariq is no longer directing Blade.

Marvel Studios’ Blade movie is an upcoming reboot for the MCU.

This character is a Vampire Hunter played by Mahershala Ali, who protects people from vampires and various other threats.

There’s been a new listing posted online by the Project Casting site; this is for an Open Casting Call for Marvel Studios’ movie Blade.

This open casting call is also being arranged by Angela Boeham Casting… and they are looking for acting roles for ‘ALL TYPES’.

Fittings are stated to be happening mid-October, while filming is set to take place in Cleveland, Ohio, on November 14, right through to November 22.

There has also recently been a first report from our site, where we spotted Morphology FX is working on Marvel Studios’ Blade.

Blade will release on November 7, 2026— starring Mahershala Ali (Alita: Battle Angel, Luke Cage), Aaron Pierre (Old) and Delroy Lindo (Get Shorty 1995).

Update March 17, 2024: Variety reports that Aaron Pierre is no longer attached to star in Blade.
