An official trailer has been released for the adult animated superhero series. Here in this article is the brief trailer breakdown and cast list.

Mark Grayson (Steven Yeun) and his mother Debbie Grayson (Sandra Oh) are still coming to terms with the fact that Nolan was a supervillain this entire time. And after the beating that Mark took by Nolan (J.K Simmons) from season 1; it’s certainly taken a toll on him mentally.

A need to be seen as a hero

In this trailer, Mark is also afraid that he will follow in his father’s footsteps; during his frustration to not be seen as a villain, he begs Cecil Stedman to let him back on the team, and then pushes himself to save as many people as he can. As well as battling multiple supervillains throughout this trailer, including the return of the Mauler Twins.

Season Two involves the multiverse

There’s also the reveal of a shapeshifting character called Shapesmith voiced by Ben Scwartz, and a character called Angstrom Levy, voiced by Sterling K. Brown; who has the ability to access all of the multiverse.

Angstrom Levy has also captured Mark, to act out his revenge. The people in the background also seemed to have suffered, possibly due to Viltrumites control over their planet.

The final scenes where Mark is seen threatening Earth, in a destroyed city, could also be an evil multiverse counterpart, or the Shapesmith; who is impersonating him to make him look like a villain. In the image above, showing green portals, there’s a city in ruins, that might be the one in later scenes.

There are also rumours that Spider-Man may be appearing in one of the universes; voiced by Josh Keaton.
